7.3. Setting Up Your Own Domain

If you have your own domain name that you'd like to use for your Podbean site, you can set that up by following the steps below. For simplicity, we have provided instructions for the most popular web host, GoDaddy. If you need instructions for a different webhost, please contact us.

1. After you log into your Podbean dashboard, click the "Account" tab. Then click the "Set Own Domain" link in the bottom right corner.

2. Set up the CNAME DNS record for your domain to to map to your Podbean URL at podcastname.podbean.com. To do this, login to your GoDaddy account and click "Domains" to show all of your registered domains. Then click the domain name that you want to assign to your store.

At this point you will see a "Domain Manager" page. Click the "Total DNS control and MX record" link.
