And this anecdote actually is important because it can show how women can be self selecting towards wargames and why as a male dominated hobby more should be done, and is done these days, to get women playing and invite them to join. It‘s about observing our own behaviours and those of others and breaking down the barrier.

Just because your experience differs to hers doesn‘t mean she is lying. Having worked in a GW store and then observed staff in non GW gaming stores I see this a lot. And have seen it a lot more in decades past.

She said she went into a game workshop store and everybody ignored her that sounds exactly like how a lot of ladies would lie when they say they would go to a comic book shop and they all would ignore her because she‘s a woman. I‘ve been to go into comic book shop since late ‘80s early 90s and we always had women there and they were always invited. Maybe it was a one-time thing but suspect.

So far these two people their whole thing was the fact that they themselves kept themselves out of the game and yet they‘re acting as if they can actually give criticism of their first encounter when they themselves hurt themselves they themselves kept themselves as The outsider.
